Grandfather Tumlin used to tell of when in 1964, planting the first vineyard, felt a strong affective and possession feeling toward his land together with the pride to continue the tradition of his ancestors whose roots date back to 1837: precious heritage of ancient wisdom, experience and art that Tumlin handed down to our parents, to us and yet our children.

He taught their grandsons to listen to the seasons by observing with love the vine nuts, the vine leaves and the bunches, almost caressing them as they grow.

He passed down to them the patience that distinguishes peasants who know how to confidently wait the reward for the huge fatigue from the friendly nature. This is grandfather Tumlin’s heritage.

More than 150,000 vines over 140 km of rows in 45 hectares of vineyards of seven varieties of native grapes crossed at least 10 times in the yearly working cycle of the vineyard. 289 Mt of altitude in full sunlight from dawn till dusk: the ideal condition for a good ripening.

Several varieties of soil ranging from mixes of marine sands with argillaceous marl, ideal for generating the typicality of the wines produced.

.

Different microclimates: from the fresh breezes and spring rains to the hot humid summer, from the autumn mists to the snow of long winters when finally the vineyard can rest.

Every grape variety can find its soil and its ideal climate in our lands: it is there, in fact, in the vineyard, that a great wine is born.
